Your first steps on the LizenzDirekt LizenzPortal

If you have not received any orders via the LizenzPortal yet, you will have to set up an account. All you have to do is click on the link provided in the order confirmation email and follow the instructions.

If you haven’t received a link, please get in touch with us.

If you already have login credentials, you can simply log in: Go to Portal >

Once you have registered, log in to the portal using your login credentials.

To access your last order and the related information, go to the Orders section of the portal, then filter orders by order number or check the latest order or delivery date. On the LizenzPortal platform, many paths will lead you to the same destination. You will find detailed explanations about navigation and features further down on this page.

Under Orders, you can simply click on the download button to display a detailed overview of all documents, which can then be downloaded.

You can also click on Downloads > Documents in the left-hand menu and use the filter option in the top bar or use the search feature to find any document you are looking for.

Go to Downloads > Installation Files to access files, guidelines and information about available product installations. Under Product Keys, you can copy any of the corresponding keys. You can access installation guidelines by clicking on the book icon or the relevant installation files using the floppy-disk symbol.

LizenzPortal navigation and features in a nutshell

The following paragraphs will comprehensively guide you through the navigation bar, explaining what the various menu items mean and what information or features can be accessed or launched using them.

Basic structure

The LizenzPortal has four main navigation areas. For the purpose of these explanations, we have divided what is displayed on the platform into four coloured areas: A, B, C and D.

A) Top bar navigation: this can be used to access the support page, change the portal language, switch from light to dark mode, check notifications or review your profile.

B) Side bar navigation: this is the main menu, from which you can call up key information regarding your orders and licenses.

C) Main content area: this is where you will find the information you have called up using the side or top bar navigation.

D) Footer or bottom bar: this is where you will find links to the LizenzDirekt homepage, legal notice, data protection policy and audit butler website.

Dashboard

The Dashboard offers a quick and simple overview of your orders and product keys and helps you keep your costs in check. In future versions of audit butler, this will also be the place where you can find out whether you have too many or too few licenses, see assigned licenses at a glance or the ratio of perpetual to subscription licenses.

Profile

My LizenzDirekt

Under My LizenzDirekt, you can review the profile of your organisation/business and check who has been assigned as contact person. You can also access information about your subscription status.

On the LizenzPortal, you will only find one contract under Contracts: the one you have with LizenzDirekt with a chronological list of your orders below. To display the related order details and documents, all you have to do is click on the item.

Orders

The menu item Orders provides an overview of your orders, as well as additional information such as the order or delivery date. To sort the list in ascending or descending order, click on the corresponding headings in the top line. By using the search box, you can enter an order number or year to quickly find what you are looking for. To display the order details (license, type, volume, price, total sum, etc.), simply click on the magnifying glass. Under Downloads, you can download related documents (quote, order confirmation, shipping note, declaration of destruction, etc.).

Downloads

Under Downloads, you will find the submenu items Installation Files, Documents and Product Keys.

Installation Files: access your installation files and guidelines for all licenses you have purchased from LizenzDirekt including previous versions (‘downgrade right’).

Documents: all documents and orders (be it quote, order confirmation, invoice or declaration of destruction) in a single place! Results can be filtered, sorted or searched using keywords, years or order numbers so you get to the documents you are looking for.

Product Keys: all product keys for all licenses delivered by LizenzDirekt (including older versions) in one place. Results can be filtered, sorted or searched by product, version or key type. You can copy the key and also download the guidelines or installation files from the same place.

Licenses

Under Licenses, you will find all licenses you have ordered from LizenzDirekt, including the corresponding previous versions (downgrade right). To sort a column in ascending or descending order, click on its heading in the top line. You can also use the handy search box to search by keyword, order number or year.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

No, you don’t! As a LizenzDirekt customer, you have access to the LizenzPortal without having to pay a fee. The portal remains available for 12 months after any order you place with us and access is renewed for another period of 12 months after any order at no cost for you.

I have forgotten my login credentials. What should I do?

If you have forgotten your password:
Open the LizenzPortal login page at https://portal.lizenzdirekt.com.
Under the box, you will find the link ‘Forgot password?. In the next step, you will be asked to provide the email address linked to your account. After confirmation, you will receive an email containing a URL a few minutes later. Please click on it and you will be able to set up a new password.

If you have forgotten your email address:

LizenzPortal is the free platform we offer to help you track all the orders you have placed with LizenzDirekt and access all your documents and license keys 24/7.

Any inactive features are part of the audit butler solution and require a commercial subscription with our partner AuditButler AG. As a distribution partner, we would be delighted to answer any questions you may have about it or to provide a demo. You can also take out a subscription through us at any time. Because we want your data to be secure, we have to use modern methods to safeguard access to the LizenzPortal. Alongside a secure password, multi-factor authentication offers additional protection and therefore cannot be deactivated.

No, it is (currently) only possible to have one account per customer for the LizenzPortal.

The order number is what we call the order confirmation number. You will find it in the subject line of our order confirmation email or in the PDF file that was attached to that email.

You can access your shipping note in different places.

You can filter the shipping notes via the using the search feature with the shipping note number or order confirmation number (order number) our view them directly in the list.

Main menu: Orders
The order overview displays all documents that are part of any order you have placed with us. Click on the download symbol and you will see all order documents. You can then download the shipping note individually or with all other documents as a ZIP file.

You will find your keys in the main menu under ‘Downloads’, submenu ‘Product Keys’. This is where all the keys we have provided are listed. If you have received the same key several times because you have bought several products from the same batch, the key will not be listed several times.

You can access your invoice in different places.

You can filter the invoices using the search feature with the invoice number or order confirmation number (order number) or view them directly in the list.

Main menu: Orders
The order overview displays all documents that are part of any order that you have placed with us. Click on the download symbol and you will see all order documents. You can then download the invoice individually or with all other documents as a ZIP file.

You will find your order in the main menu under ‘Orders’. Orders are summarised under one order confirmation number. By clicking on the magnifying glass, you can display more information to find out which licenses were bought at what price or download the related documents by clicking on the download symbol.

You will find the overview of your licenses in the main menu under ‘Licenses’, where you can view all licenses you have purchased along with the corresponding order confirmation number and downgrade licenses.

The order overview displays all documents that are part of any order that you have placed with us. Click on the download symbol and you will see all order documents. You can then download files individually or compressed together as a ZIP file.

When you buy a license of a given version, e.g. MS Office Standard 2021, you are also entitled to use older versions of the program (e.g. MS Office Standard 2019 or 2016).

If this is the case, the license overview for your order confirmation number (order number) will display the number of licenses purchased (e.g. 17x MS Office Standard 2021) as well as 17x MS Office Standard 2019 and 17x MS Office Standard 2016.

This means that you can for instance install MS Office Standard 2021 15 times as well as MS Office Standard 2016 twice, ensuring that the total number of licenses used both in the most recent and downgrade version does not exceed the total number of licenses you have purchased.

Your account remains active for 12 months as from the date of your last purchase with us. If you have not purchased anything from us over the past 12 months, your access to the portal will be deactivated. It will be reactivated and renewed for another period of 12 months after your next order.

If your account is no longer active although you placed an order with us less than 12 months ago, please send us an email (portal@lizenzdirekt.com) or give us a call (+49 5494 9999 000).

By default, we record the last five orders placed with us over the past two years with all relevant documents as from their initial delivery via the LizenzPortal. If you cannot see them, please email us (portal@lizenzdirekt.com) or give us a call (+49 5494 9999 000).

If you want to see more than the last five orders over the past two years since their initial delivery via the LizenzPortal in the records, please send us an email (portal@lizenzdirekt.com) or give us a call (+49 5494 9999 000).

If a new key has been sent or the old key has been found to be unusable, the key status in your portal will be marked as ‘inactive’. We will have added a new key marked as ‘active’ for that same license. Please only use keys with an ‘active’ status.

Under the main menu ‘Downloads’, you will find the submenu ‘Installation Files’. For each and every one of the licenses you have purchased and for which there is an installation file and/or guidelines, you will find an entry with the option to access the guidelines or the installation file in our directory and to download the file you need.

If you have purchased a license and cannot see the download file either for the license or a related downgrade version, please send us an email (portal@lizenzdirekt.com) or give us a call (+49 5494 9999 000). We will make sure the file is available as soon as possible.

In the LizenzPortal, we provide records of all licenses you have purchased from us.

If you wish to add Microsoft licenses (perpetual, subscription, new or used licenses) that you have bought directly from other digital system providers or from Microsoft, you will need a commercial subscription to audit butler, which is available from €179 per year.
